CLASSROOM POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
INTRODUCTION
Physics is an academic laboratory science coarse to be taken by seniors. Algebra II and Chemistry are suggested prerequisites. Experimentation is integrated with theory and math analysis in this class. The use of computer technology is emphasized along with graphing calculators.
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR CLASS
notebook paper
three ring binder
pencil(please do not use ink on quizzes or lab reports)
2 - 3 1/2 computer diskettes
ruler
protractor
compass
calculator(suggested - Casio graphing if you are purchasing)
Calculators will be provided for in class activities and may
be signed out for over night use.

SIX WEEKS GRADING PROCEDURES
I. Lab Reports--------------------------------50%
Two per week: The Lab Report is due two days after the experiment is performed.
Homework will be taken up on a daily basis, averaged and counted as one lab report.
II. Quizzes and Tests--------------------------50%
III. Homework, daily work, and pop quizzes will be taken up randomly, averaged together and counted as one Lab Report grade.
IV. Assignments are to be turned in on time. 10 points per day will be subtracted for late work.
V. It is the student's responsibility to make-up all work missed unless otherwise excused by the teacher. He/she is allowed one day for each day absent. It is the students responsibility to arrange to make-up work before or after school or during study hall. (Not during another teachers class.)
